| Now Offering Monthly Parent Support Groups |

Rockland Jewish Family Service will now be offering
On-going support groups for…
Parents of children with special needs – This support group will focus on issues related to raising a child with special needs as well as strategies to help the whole family cope with the daily struggles associated of living with a child who has special needs. This group will meet once per month on the 1st Wednesday of each month from 6:00 - 7:30 PM beginning in October (10/3/2007). The cost is $30 per person/couple.
Parents dealing with separation/divorce – This support group will meet to help parents deal with the daily ongoing difficulties of being a single parent as well as strategies to help you continue co-parenting your child(ren) even after a separation or divorce. This group will meet once per month on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 6:00 – 7:30 PM beginning in October (10/10/2007). The cost is $30 per person.
Juggling and balancing – A support group for women balancing a career, family and herself. This group will help provide strategies in dealing with the everyday stress associated with being a woman, a mother, a spouse and a friend, such as finance management, time management, child rearing, coping strategies, feeling “burnt out” and making time for you. This group will meet once per month on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 6:30 – 8:00 PM beginning in October (10/17/2007). The cost is $30 per person.
The invisible woman – This support group is geared towards women who are nearing retirement, have grown children out of the house and feel “invisible.” Within the group we will discuss life-stage issues, such as balancing your finances near retirement, relationships, socializing, family and what to do with free time. This group will meet once per month on the 4th Wednesday of each month from 6:00 – 7:30 PM beginning in October (10/24/2007). The cost is $30 per person.
The stay-at-home mom – This group offers support to women who are stay-at-home moms, focusing on raising a family. We will discuss topics such as child rearing, scheduling, finding time for you, balancing your time throughout the day and ways to stay involved with your peers. This group will meet once per month on the 4th Wednesday of each month from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM beginning in October (10/24/2007). The cost is $30 per person.
